Mechanicsburg, PA (April 21, 2026)– The National EMS Memorial Bike Ride (NEMSMBR) announces 89 Honorees from 27 states for its 2026 season of long-distance bicycle rides. This year marks the 26th season of celebrating EMS Professionals who have fallen due to line of duty deaths as well as others who have died from various causes however left an impact on their local or greater EMS community. This year’s Honor Roll includes 37 honorees who will be celebrated during the National EMS Memorial Service Weekend of Honor July 17-19, 2026 in Arlington, VA.
This year’s NEMSMBR routes will travel over 1,900 miles through 17 states and the District of Columbia. Rides will start in May in Boston, MA and conclude in September at the Keeper of the Plains in Wichita, KS. Cities included this season are Boston, Minneapolis-St. Paul, Philadelphia, Roanoke Rapids, San Francisco, Washington, D.C., Wichita Falls, Wichita, Winston-Salem. Participants will be carrying dog tags with the names of these 89 Honorees who served every day, those who have become sick or injured while performing their duties, and those who have died in the line of duty. Participants will join families, friends, and fellow first responders throughout the route with scheduled memorial celebrations and a reading of the names of the 2026 Honorees.
The National EMS Memorial Bike Ride, Inc. mission is to honor the service and commitment of Emergency Medical Services professionals by organizing and implementing long-distance cycling events. Their vision is to reduce illness, injury, and mortality through recognition and promotion of physical and mental well-being.
