Ty Voth

Ty Voth was driven to pursue a career in firefighting, following in his father’s and uncle’s footsteps. Before relocating to the Wichita Fire Department in 2019 to be nearer family, Ty began his career with the Manhattan Fire Department. He was the epitome of dedication and exemplified selflessness, running into danger when others fled. He was recognized for his unwavering commitment to the community and was awarded the 2024 Firefighter of the Year medal. “He lived as a hero and died as a hero, and he will be remembered as a hero.”
