Tommy began his EMS journey as a high school cadet with the Sparta First Aid Squad, where his passion for service first took shape. He went on to earn both his EMT and paramedic certifications, building a career dedicated to caring for others in some of the most demanding environments. He worked as a paramedic at Saint Clare’s Hospital, The University Hospital, and later served with the Federal Bureau of Prisons at Fort Dix, where he continued his commitment to patient care. Outside of work, Tommy enjoyed time with friends, off-roading, and a simple love of Mountain Dew. Most importantly, he deeply valued his family. He is survived by his mother, Kathleen Hoey, and sister, Andrea Hoey, and was preceded in death by his father and sister Melissa.
