Circumstances: WTC related illness

Paul was born in New Bern, North Carolina. He moved to NY shortly after graduating from HS. He became an order in some of the most renowned hospitals in NYC. Paul became a certified operating technician at Bellevue Hospital, but his training was only beginning. He went on to earn his certification as an EMT, then further his education, he took rigorous training to become a paramedic in the city of NY. He was the type of medic we all strive to be, competent, easy-going, and good bedside manner with the patient and family.

Paul was a first responder to the terrorist attacks on the WTC on 9/11/2001. He served many months at Ground Zero during the rescue and recovery period. Besides his professional career, Paul was a loving family man who enjoyed being involved in local community events. He also enjoyed the finer side of life, he was an avid bowler, sports enthusiast, and food connoisseur. One of his favorite pastimes was taking road trips to North Carolina to visit relatives. Paul was a fighter, who battled serious medical issues the last few years, many WTC related.
