Pam started off as a volunteer EMT with her hometown volunteer ambulance corps; Goshen Volunteer Ambulance Corps. She started her professional career with NYC Health and Hospitals in April 1984. HHC merged with FDNY EMS in 1996. Pam was promoted to Lieutenant and spent the majority of her career at Station 16 in Harlem. She responded to and worked the recovery efforts at WTC. From that she got cancer that was contributed to her time spent at Ground Zero. Pam had retired in 2016 and spent her last few months taking care of her own father, when she passed away.
