Jeffrey Garrigan

Jeff was born and raised in Newton, where he graduated from Newton High School before earning a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Upsala College. Despite his academic path, his true calling was in emergency medicine, where he served as a paramedic for St. Clare’s Medical Center and Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Rahway for 31 years. A lifelong commitment to service began early when he joined the Newton First Aid Squad at just 16 years old, later becoming a life member. He also served with Kittatinny Hose and Ladder starting at 18. Jeff was known for his dedication, steady presence, and care for others. He is survived by his wife Donna, daughters Jamie, Kellie, Brittanie, and son Jeffrey Jr.
