He built a long and respected career as a paramedic, serving multiple communities and later as a flight paramedic, where he combined skill, calm leadership, and a passion for helping others. He also mentored future medics, shaping the next generation with patience and humility. DJ shared a deep bond with his wife, Denise, and his children, Kaylan, Cameron, and Gabriella, and was a beloved brother and uncle.
