Alison was born to serve her fellow man. She was a volunteer at Huntington Volunteer Ambulance Service where she developed an interest as a First Responder. Then in 1998, she got her dream job with FDNY EMS as an EMT. She worked her way up to paramedic in 2002, but that was only the beginning, her whole career was about learning and moving up through training until she became a Lieutenant in 2016. She was a First Responder during and after the terrorist attacks in 2001 and more recently during the pandemic. She was promoted to Captain posthumously.
She was the kindest sweetest person, who always took care of her people and was known as a mom by many. Many times, Alison would watch the children of the members who came to the station after school. During holidays Alison could often be seen going to the nearby 99-cent store to buy decorations for the station.
She has a beautiful family outside her EMS family who she adores and loves so much, Danielle {Daughter}, Kevin {Son-In-Law}, Catherine {Mom} & Francis {Dad}. Her daughter Danielle told the mourners at the service, we are all hurting, but don’t have hate in your hearts, that wasn’t who my mother was. Alison heard something outside the station, when she went to investigate, she was assaulted in an unprovoked attack, where she died of her injuries.
