David Lodarski

EMT
City of Colton Fire Department (California)
Colton, CA
Age: 58
End of Service: 10/10/2015
Circumstances: Struck by a drunk driver

David age 58, served for 38 years on the Colton Fire Dept, with his father preceding him as a lifetime firefighter with the same dept, and his son Hunter joining him there as well. Dave demoted from Captain to Engineer, so he could work alongside Hunter. He had just submitted his retirement papers a few days before his death.

Dave and Hunter were hit from behind by a drunk driver, early in the morning hours of October 10th, 2015. Dave passed away and Hunter was seriously injured.

Dave was a great friend, much loved by everyone he met, especially by his wife Cyndi, who still grieves his loss.
