Erick began his EMS career as a volunteer with McColl Rescue Squad and McColl Fire Dept. He started as a junior member continuing his passion and education ultimately becoming a Paramedic. As a paramedic with Cape Fear Mobile Integrated Health, McColl Rescue, Marlboro Rescue, McColl Fire Department, and Palmetto Transport he honed his skills and developed a new passion, the passion of paramedic competitions. He was a part of the founding of The Carolina Competition and a frequent competitor in The JEMS Games.
