Eric was a lighthearted, funny, and charismatic person who gave life his all. He was a great friend who consistently offered help, “a don’t say, just do” kind of person.
He was a volunteer for the Blacksburg Volunteer Rescue Squad as a technical rescue member and an Advanced EMT. Eric was passionate about teaching others and spent countless hours at rescue helping crew members master new skills. He also volunteered in the IT department managing communications and technology for the squad. In his spare time, Eric enjoyed caving and scuba diving.
